About colleges

As a foundation year student at Oxford, you will be a member of one of the University’s undergraduate colleges. Our colleges are one of the things that makes Oxford such a special place to live and study as you have the benefits of being part of a large university in a buzzing and student-focused city but also a small and supportive academic community to call home.

Each college has a unique character, but generally their facilities are similar. Each one will have the following essential facilities: student accommodation, porters’ lodge, dining hall, lending library, teaching rooms, laundry, green spaces and a common room. In 2023, students were allocated to one of our participating Oxford colleges: Exeter, Jesus, Keble, Mansfield, Lady Margaret Hall, Somerville, St Anne’s, Trinity and Wadham.
